PVDF

Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF) is a thermoplastic fluoropolymer used in diverse applications requiring special properties such as high purity, chemical resistance, abrasion resistance, flame retardancy, weatherability to UV and humidity, mechanical strength, flexibility, impact resistance or thermal stability.  Compared to other fluoropolymers, it is easier to process because of its relatively low melting point.  It is commonly used in the chemical, semiconductor, medical and defense industries, as well as in lithium ion batteries. Industries such as Chemical Processing rely on PVDF to withstand heat and pressure, aggressive chemicals, mechanical stress, and abrasive particles in varied applications:

  • Abrasion resistance comparable to that of polyamides
